PRODUCT NAME NAME: FSO EVOLUTION by PIED MAIN - Foot stabilizing brace. FEATURES: The FSO EVOLUTION is a functional semi-rigid brace made of Lyxpren®. It is designed to prevent and treat foot trauma and relieve pain. The Lyxpren® brace is blue on the outside and orange on the inside. It consists of 3 collars and 3 straps, 2 side ribs. The collars stabilize the brace in the forefoot, tarsus and malleolus. The traction strap holds the midfoot in a vice between the front and back of the foot. The return straps allow you to adjust pronation, supination or create a lifting effect of the foot. The FSO EVOLUTION relieves pain. Eliminates the need to apply a strapping bandage. Protects the skin. Adjustable, removable and easy to apply. Wear with a shoe. Recommended during sports activities, at work, or during daily activities. Wearing it is not recommended during rest periods or at night, on weakened skin or with recent scar tissue. The FSO EVOLUTION is an ideal alternative to traditional treatments such as casts, resins, walking boots, strapping, medication and in some cases surgery. The FSO EVOLUTION is worn with a traditional shoe. It is adjustable and easy to use, unlike some methods that are expensive, uncomfortable and not tolerated by patients. COMPOSITION: Lyxpren®, black corrugated rubber or perforated white neoprene, hook and loop bands (hooks and velvet), woven elastic band, rigid polyethylene, cotton in-stretch woven tape, cotton thread, high-density polyethylene label. INDICATIONS: LIGAMENT INJURIES: Sprained external midfoot of Chopart. Benign sprain of the joint of Lisfranc. JOINT INJURIES: Benign foot lesions (crushing). In general, pain in the midfoot. TENDON INJURIES: Tendonitis of the foot. POST-OPERATIVE: for foot surgery to support the foot and provide gentle compression. BOLD LESIONS: Non-displaced fracture of the base of the 5th metatarsal. Non-displaced fracture of a metatarsal. PREVENTION: sports accidents of the foot and ankle. PEDIATRICS: Sever's syndrome, Kohler-Mouchet, Renander and Freiberg diseases. DOSAGE: To be worn during the day and during exercises, for 4 to 6 weeks and according to the doctor's prescription. METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION: Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, ambidextrous. Locate your size in the table (see website www.fso-evolution.com) and determine your size. We suggest you consult image n° 1 (see www.pied-main.fr website) on which the collars and straps are shown. HOW TO USE: It is advisable to wear the FSO directly on the skin, in order to benefit from the traction effect from the forefoot to the hindfoot. Step 1: Undo all the gripping straps of the FSO EVOLUTION. Step 2: Place the forefoot in the FSO EVOLUTION, attach the gripping ends of the metatarsal collar to the back of the forefoot, keeping it closest to the root of the toes. Step 3: Insert the heel, pulling on the back of the FSO EVOLUTION. Step 4: Hold the ends of the malleolar collar, and grip them on the front of the leg. Step 5: Pull on the internal rappel strap, cross it over the back of the foot, and attach it to the malleolar collar. Stronger traction produces an anti-pronation effect (foot turned downwards). Step 6: Pull on the outer abseiling strap, cross it over the midfoot, and attach it to the malleolar collar. Stronger traction produces an anti-supination effect (foot turned upwards). Step 7: A stronger pull on the two return straps produces an anti-drop-foot effect. Step 8: The FSO EVOLUTION presents an option with lateral stabilizers for additional ankle support. Stabilizers will be inserted prior to use. Step 9: Place the tarsal collar on the ball of the foot in front of the heel. Attach the gripping ends of the tarsal collar to the back of the foot. This collar has the effect of holding the arch of the foot. Tips: Wear the splint directly on the skin. Use a soft, rather old, slightly wider pair of sneakers to accommodate your foot that wears the splint. PIED MAIN products can be washed by hand, in lukewarm water, and using a mild soap. CAUTION: Foot and hand splints should not be worn during the first 72 hours after acute trauma to the limb affected by the splint. If the compression is uncomfortable, adjust the straps to reduce tension. The metatarsal collar as well as the tarsal collar should be undone at night unless otherwise advised by a doctor. If you have persistent pain or are unsure, consult your regular doctor. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Neoprene allergy and Morton's syndrome. SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE: The PIED MAIN Brace must be adjusted to the limb and comfortable to wear. Not too narrow, not too wide. When in doubt, try a larger size. Use the exact size, in order to get the best results. Before buying a splint, make sure that your dimensions are measured correctly and accurately. INACTIONS: None. Midfoot sprain or Chopart sprain is often associated with talocrural sprain or ankle sprain. The mechanism of injury is plantar flexion associated with a varus of the hindfoot. Imaging tests can confirm the diagnosis by ultrasound and rule out the associated bone lesions. A sprain of the tarsometatarsal joint or Lisfranc sprain often corresponds to a fracture-dislocation. Currently, the mechanisms most often found are the fall from a horse, the foot stuck in the stirrup, the car accident with the foot stuck under the brake pedal or the landing of a jump or a fall on the tip of the foot; A direct impact on the back of the foot or a crushing of the foot can be the cause of a plantar dislocation of the metatarsals. There is no classification according to the severity of the sprain. Imaging will easily use CT scans to assess bone and joint lesions, and MRI to assess ligaments. The clinical examination is difficult and should be repeated if necessary. A bruise may diffuse to the lateral edge of the plantar. Sequelae to walking or even standing are frequent, despite the possibility of being able to make the diagnosis thanks to new imaging technologies. Indeed, forefoot sprains are often misunderstood or neglected, which partly explains the very troublesome functional sequelae at two levels: local or articular - mechanical pain, deformity of the back of the foot responsible for conflict in the shoe - and at a distance by repercussions on the metatarsal support bar.
